WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

There are no such eligibility criteria to apply for GRE tests, anyone of any age and qualification and attempt the exam. One of the obvious requirements would be for an applicant to have a good knowledge of English, both spoken and in the written form. However, it is important to note that the GRE test scores is not sufficient to gain admission to graduate schools all by itself and it is crucial to fulfil other eligibility requirements that are necessary.

WHAT IS THE MARKING SYSTEM?


GRE exams are scored on a 200-990 score scale with 10-point increments. The sub-scores for subjects are based on a smaller scale. The Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning sections scores are present, there is mark accorded for the analytical writing section and hence it is a little stringent; though being systematic is necessary. There is also an option for candidates to send selective scores of any or all GRE exams to the educational institution.


IS IT DIFFICULT TO CRACK?


Compared to the ACT and the SAT, the GRE is comparatively more difficult, though math is an exception because difficulty level is the other way around. The key challenging aspect of the GRE is complicated vocabulary and text passages, and the way math questions are phrased are much more complex. Critical thinking skills are expected to be put to use by candidates and that differentiates the good students from the best ones.

Compared to other graduate exams, such as the MCAT, LSAT or, GMAT, the GRE is often considered less difficult due to reasons such as, having less-challenging math questions. Yes, on the whole, it is relatively challenging to crack the GRE exam because, firstly, not many know about this and there is very less awareness on how one could train him or herself to perform well and excel.
